Subaru is known for their technological innovation oriented performance automobiles. A lot of technological capabilities have been integrated in many Subaru vehicles over the years and actually Subaru has been keen to help keep this trend. One of several early technological capabilities in Subaru motor vehicles has been the Engine Command Unit (ECU) also known as Automated Engine Control Component. Some vehicle makes even know it by the name Power-train Control Module (PCM).
